Finding his life calling when a close friend uploaded a YouTube video, Hooper has since been on a tour of Europe, gained a heartwarming loyal fan-based and has now released his first single of 2021.
‘This Was The Earth’ was released on the 12th of March and my sad indie-pop lovers have been in your feels ever since! Gaining over 5000 views, Hooper is taking over our 2021. The single deals with topics that are close to all our hearts, and minds, as he discusses his own battle with mental health and the current ongoing Global Pandemic.

Moving on to the stunning harmonies and melodies in which Hooper and producer pal, Josh Trinnaman. Using Hooper’s folk twang vocals and dangerously stunning lyrics, the pair created a single which everyone can relate to. With moments of pizzicato to build tension and grab the listeners attention once and for all, ‘This Was The Earth’ is a masterpiece to be proud of.
The video, in accordance with the single, is a simple visual aid. Allowing us to see the insight of Hooper’s mind when writing the single. However, Hooper aims to create more stories and experiences from his music, letting his own be a launchpad for a hard yet necessary conversation.
